PARADISE ISLAND, Bahamas  - Comfort Suites Paradise Island has won a 2012 TravelMole Caribbean Web Award.

In a ceremony in the Bahamas prior to the recent Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association's Caribbean Marketplace, the 229-all suite property copped the top award for its website www.comfortsuitespi.com in the large accommodations category.

In its second year, the awards attracted a higher number of nominations as knowledge of the event, run jointly with the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association (CHTA), spreads throughout the region.

Graham McKenzie of TravelMole, whose company advocates for a greater focus on online marketing within the Caribbean, credited Comfort Suites Paradise Island's website for its strong graphics and overall innovation. "I think it's very simple to use so if people want to book a room or suite, it's easy to do ... it's just simple things like that that, unfortunately, a lot of the Caribbean (doesn't) take to heart, but Comfort Suites (has)."

Bill Clegg, regional vice president for Brand Performance and Programs of Choice Hotels International, said "We are extremely proud of the team at the franchised Comfort Suites Paradise Island for demonstrating excellence not just on the supply side of the business, but through a refreshing and robust approach to online marketing."

The Caribbean Web Awards credit websites that demonstrate excellent graphic communication, superb online copy and salesmanship, and the best examples of strategies and techniques for enhanced site conversion.
