A Bahamian doctor-internet entrepreneur has launched a new Caribbean Social Network. The name of this social community is JohnECake.com. JohnECake.com is event headquarters for Bahamas junkanoo, Trinidad carnival, Antigua carnival, Barbados carnival, Jamaica SumFest and much more. One thing is for certain, the internet is experiencing a social network revolution. Bebo, MySpace and YouTube were sold for millions of dollars. The question is, will JohnECake follow this trend.

The key for social networks is building a huge subscriber list. New subscribers for social networks input specific personal demographic information that advertisers are hungary for. The bottom line is, social networks have a potential to generate a 7 figure income in advertising dollars on a monthly basis. For example, MySpace averages $20 million per month.

JohnECake will target the 6 million people that live in the Caribbean.

The target niche market for JohnECake is the eat, lime and party carnival  community.  This will attract alcohol, airline, concert promoters & hotel advertisers caribbean wide. Though JohnECake is only 3 months old, The viral marketing team achieved  major success. JohnECake has landed on the first page of Google, Yahoo and MSN search engines for the "Caribbean Social Network" keyword phrase.

At JohnECake.com users can post and watch videos, listen to music, write blogs, find and connect with friends, view pictures and much more. When founder Dr. Knox Grandison was asked how the name JohnECake was inspired, the answer was simple. JohnECake is the most popular appetizer that is eaten by Caribbean people, which is fried dumling with shredded coconut.
