GBPC: Loss of life at Kings Road, an unfortunate preventable mishap

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island - July 28, 2010 The Grand Bahama Power Company is saddened to learn of the recent loss of life found at our premises on Kings Road. We are satisfied that every reasonable precautionary measure was taken to prevent such an unfortunate mishap from happening.

A safe environment is paramount to us. Management of the Grand Bahama Power Company fully supports and complies with stringent international safety and security practices and as standard policies and procedures adhered to these practices. Safety locks, labels, signs and information are clearly posted on all of our sites to ensure that our employees, customers and the general public are visually warned of any safety hazards and or potential safety hazards. The GBPC remains committed to providing a safe environment for our employees, customers and the general public while providing reliable energy services.
