Nassau, Bahamas -  PwC in the Bahamas will once again be providing the professional services with invaluable information, technical updates and highlighting the new standards that when applied, will enhance professional efficiency and technical competency .

Myra R. Lundy-Mortimer, Partner, PwC Bahamas, noted that “For the past few years, PwC has been the leader in providing the industry with the need-to-know details with our technical updates. This year will be no different! The technical update is the most popular session during Accountants’ Week because it affords accountants the opportunity to be informed about the most recent accounting and auditing developments, pronouncements and practices. Those in attendance will receive exceptional update of accounting, auditing and reporting standards.”

“This week we’ll be hosting the Empowerment and Professional Pride: Preparing accountants for Regional and Global opportunities - enhancing our technical competency in New Providence and Grand Bahama. With the support from our technical team within the region in Gail Moore, Partner PwC Jamaica and Tricia-Ann Smith DaSilva, Director, PwC Jamaica, together we’ll be focusing our expertise and updating the industry on International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS) 9, 15, and 16, particularly with IFRS 9 and 15 becoming effective from 1 January 2018,” said Lundy-Mortimer.

BICA’s Technical Update takes place November 16, 2017 in Nassau with an added session held to be repeated in Freeport the following day, November 17, 2017 for those unable to attend in Nassau.
