In a move designed to elevate and expedite its expansion in resort financing and management, Sterling Global Financial announced today it has deepened its growing team with the signing of industry veteran Bill Green, former senior vice president of Intrawest, the world’s largest all-season luxury resort and adventure development company.

Mr. Green will serve as President of the newly-launched company, Sterling Global Developments Limited. He will also assume the post of Chief Investment Officer, Sterling Global Financial Limited, an award-winning multi-billion dollar firm that specializes in real estate development financing.

Attracting Mr. Green was considered an industry coup with one executive from a hospitality company calling it “the catch of the year.”

Sterling Chairman David Kosoy acknowledged the importance of the role Mr. Green would play in the company’s expansion.

“We are extremely pleased to announce the appointment of Bill Green to our team at Sterling Global Financial,” said Mr. Kosoy. “Bill holds an almost singular position in the world of innovative resort development, recovery and redevelopment, having served in the most senior positions with both Intrawest, an unparalleled industry leader, and as Managing Director, Replay Resorts, a company that in only a few years has made a strong name for itself.”

According to Sterling Chief Operating Officer Steve Tiller, Mr. Green brings both formal training and hands-on experience in precisely one of the new avenues that Sterling Global is defining for its future.

“As we at Sterling increase our interests in funding resort and hospitality-related developments, redevelopments and work-out strategies, Bill will be a great asset, providing guidance from his impressive academic background and hands-on experience through dozens of projects in many countries and cultures,” Mr. Tiller noted.

Mr. Green holds an MBA from Harvard which he achieved while studying as a cross-registrant at M.I.T. in its Master of Science program for real estate. Before joining Replay in 2005, he helped to found Live Work Learn Play LLP, a firm working on 41 developments in five countries. Prior to that, he served as senior vice president of resort giant Intrawest, with responsibility for its real estate development division that reported annual sales of approximately $250 million in Eastern North America.

Fluent in English and French, Mr. Green is a member of the prestigious Seaside Pienza Institute’s Founders’ Society and holds a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do.

Sterling Global Financial, with current projects in the London, Ireland, Boston, Florida and The Bahamas, is headquartered in The Bahamas with its Trust company in Cayman. Among the Bahamas financed projects are ONE Cable Beach, Ocean Terraces and Courtyard by Marriott in Nassau, Thirty Six on Paradise Island, Matt Lowe’s Cay, and Powell Cay in Abaco and Sky Beach in Eleuthera. Projects the company has helped to fund in The Bahamas and abroad as either debt or equity partner have created thousands of jobs.
