West End, Grand Bahama - Old Bahama Bay announces their 1st Annual Native Fish Hunt to be held Whit Monday, June 1st.

REGISTER TODAY! This tournament is for the Natives (local Grand Bahamians) but visitors are invited also to be a part of this unique and exciting tournament. A great family activity!

Weigh-in, awards and reception. 'Hunt' T-shirts, cocktails and other promotions. Maximum of 4 persons per boat. Entry fee $400. Contact Peter Watson at Old Bahama Bay at 350-6516, or email pwatson@ginncompany.com

Special room rates for $180 per night + gratuities. Includes breakfast.

Tournament Schedule:

Sunday May 31st 2009:

3:00pm: Check in. Individuals can sign up for,

  • 3 on 3 volley ball,
  • kayak race,
  • Hobby Cat race,
  • Marangay contest.  

Winners will get free tournament T-shirts.  

 

7:00pm: Welcome reception, Captains meeting and a cocktail party in the convention tent with light appetizers and DJ music.  

At the captains meeting,

·          Official registration will be done.

·          Tournament paraphernalia’s will be given.

·          Rules will be discussed.

·          Calcutta will be taken.

After Captains meeting dine at Bonefish Folley’s or Aqua.

Straw Bar open for evening cocktails DJ music, Karaoke and Crab races.   The evening tapers off with a Bon Fire and Oldie Goldie’s.

 

Monday June 1st 2009:

6:00am to 8:00am: Native Buffet breakfast served at the Convention Tent.  

 

7:00am: Boats begin leaving the dock at for a day of fishing.  Tournament guest and wives will have the option to have:

  • Manicures
  • Pedicures
  • Message
  • Facials
  • Guided Bike tours through home site and Discovery center.
  • Native children camp.
  • Water treasure hunt.
  • Ring Toss contest.

 

Lunch is open. Try the Straw Bar or Bonefish Folly’s.

 

5:00pm: Vessels return for weigh-in.   Weigh-in ends at 6:00pm. Followed immediately

by the awards ceremony with a grill out.
