West End, Grand Bahama - Old Bahama Bay General Manager Jackie Carroll today announced the planned, temporary closure of Old Bahama Bay beginning September 8th through October 8th, 2009.

The resort will use this time period to conduct scheduled maintenance work.  The move is in keeping with the resort’s commitment to maintaining quality standards and service.

"September has traditionally been our slowest time of year, so it just made good sense for us to schedule the maintenance work now,” said Carroll.  “Temporarily closing the resort, including the Restaurant and Gift Shop, during this time period will ensure that the maintenance will not inconvenience any guests.”

Despite the temporary closure of the resort, the marina will remain open so boaters and yachtsmen will have full access and use of that facility.

Old Bahama Bay will be fully operational October 9 and optimistically looks forward to the new season.
