The Alliance Française des Bahamas is participating in the 2nd International Photo Competition organised by the Foundation Alliance Française in Paris. The Theme is PLANÈTE FEMMES or "PLANET WOMEN (women of the planet)".
The Alliance is responsible for organising a local photo contest for non-professional photographers between July 1st , 2011 and 31st August 2011.
Candidates must submit two (2) photos which show their vision of what a woman is or how they perceive a woman in Bahamian culture.
The competition is free and open to Bahamians or legal residents of The Bahamas.
ALL PHOTOS MUST BE SUBMITTED ONLINE AND RECEIVED BY AUGUST 31ST 2011 MIDNIGHT TO: concoursphoto@afbahamas.org
There will be a pre-selection phase, and the winner for the Bahamas will then be selected by a Bahamian panel of judges.
The winner of the Bahamian contest’s photos (2) will be entered in the contest in Paris for the final phase of the International contest.
A selection of the photos chosen (semi-finalists) as well as the winner for the Bahamas will be on exhibition to public in a place chosen by the Alliance Française des Bahamas.
All persons entering agree to comply to the contest’s rules. All decisions made by the panel of judges are final and may in no way be contested. Persons not willing to comply to the rules need not enter.
