The Pastor's Pulpit
Never Forsaken

Ps.37: 25. I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

As believers, it’s time for us to truly get a revelation of the above passage of scripture so that the complaining and murmuring about one’s status and the lack of material possessions among the saints would cease.

The passion and desire for material possession has a subtle, cunning and unhealthy string attached that’s designed to distract one from sincerely focusing on God and His kingdom.Notwithstanding that God is not opposed to His children having abundance of possessions and wealth.

Watch this!

Matt.6: 33. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

There’s no doubt that we’re living in a materialistic world where it seems as if the order of the day is; to get all that you can, and can (bank) all that you get. In most cases, it also seems as if the wicked, the corrupt, the ungodly and the compromising religious church-folks are the ones that are prospering in everything that they do.

If the above thoughts ever ran through your mind and you’ve somewhat questioned what you’re seeing as it relates to the prosperity of the above mentioned character traits persons; you’re not alone and it’s not a sin.

Take the time to study (Psalm 37) and you will see that David was troubled with the very seem thoughts and feelings; but based upon his relationship with Yahweh and by faith, David knew that the prosperity of the wicked is short lived.

Here’s what he said!

Ps.37: 37:1. Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.

: 2. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.

: 3. Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

: 4. Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

: 5. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

Let me hasten to say that “Because you’re not able to meet your financial obligations at this time (Mortgage, Rent, Bank or Private loans, etc;) or any other obligations as you would like too; by no means does this implies that God is not with you”

Your position should be, to remain faithful unto God, walk in love with all men, even your enemies; knowing that this battle is not yours, but the lord’s. And being the righteous person that you are, when God brings you out; you will fulfill all of your obligations.

Again, here’s what David says about this righteous man / good man:

Ps.37: 22. For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off.

: 23. The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.

: 24. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.

: 25. I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

A true believer / disciple of Yahshua Messiah (a.k.a. Jesus the Christ) in this day and time; cannot be distracted by corrupt politics and wicked religions. While it’s good to have prayer partners, we’re at a point and time whereby individually each one of us must spend that quality / personal time in prayer with God (Yahweh). And then not only hearing what He’s saying in prayer, but also obediently / faithfully adhere to what is said.

Despite the fact that there are many wolves dressed in sheep clothing who have ascended the pulpit and are methodically, mercilessly fleecing their sheepfold / naïve, itching ears followers via their twisted / incomplete prosperity gospel. It is and will forever be God’s will to prosper His obedient, faithful children / servants.

Ps.35: 27. Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.

There’s also an erroneous religious mind-set which would have you to believe that God’s prosperity, favor and goodness are not relevant on this side of heaven.

Again, here’s what David said:

Ps.27: 13. I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.

The righteous will never be forsaken:
