The Pastor's Pulpit
When the Church had power
By Pastor Allen

There was a time in the church when the saints really worshiped the Lord in spirit and in truth; they sang songs about the blood of Jesus (Yahshua Messiah), about the cross of Calvary and about His name. Wow, what a time!
In those days when songs like “Amazing Grace, The Old Rugged Cross, Blessed Assurance, I Surrender All, and There is Power, power, wonder working power in the blood of the lamb, etc, etc were sang” the Preachers had very little work to do in the pulpit as the atmosphere had already been made conducive via the Holy Spirit, for the word of God to go forth with power and authority.

Whether you believe it or not, in those days folks got delivered from unclean / ungodly spirits that held them hostage and they were healed from various forms of sickness and disease; but then again that was back in the days when (Rev them) had nothing but the Holy Spirit to rely on.

Today the church is filled with educated, powerless and spiritually dead religious leaders (Bishops, Apostles, Doctors, Pastors, Prophets, etc,) that can’t rebuke or even drive out a USED / WOUNDED-DEMON.   It’s as if today’s church leaders are solely interested in getting rich and living on the hill, in exclusive areas, gated communities whiles their congregation lives in the pauper’s life in the valley of Lodebar.

If there is any sort or form of power in the church; it’s the power / ability of manipulation to lure the naïve sheepfold into give what little money they have to the religious leaders. This sort of power is called witchcraft.

Here’s what Yahshua Messiah (Jesus the Christ) did for his disciples [not for his Christians], but for His disciples:

Lk.9:1.   Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.

This article is not to highlight or to continually beat the drum of differences between that of being a Christian and being a disciple.   At this stage in your spiritual walk with the Lord, your Church Leader should have already done a comprehensive; Holy Spirit led teaching on being a disciple of Yahshua Messiah verses that of being a Religious Christian.

What’s in your church other than the religious norm? “Bishop prayed for me, or my Mand-of God laid hands on me, and I was healed of my head ache or back pain”

Is the (dunamis, doo'-nam-is) power of God available in the church gathering where you worship?   Are devils being cast out? Are people being cured of diseases?   Interestingly enough, today’s Christians are not too concerned with the above kind of questions, for as long as they can go to church and hear a good emotionally charged / led message they’re quite content.

As I’ve stated before, “ask 75% of today’s church-folks about The Illuminati or The Tri-Lateral Commission and they would have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about; but yet these are the same folks that are jumping up and down in church / talking about taking territories for the kingdom of God.   (A classic case of being ignorant of Satan’s devices)

Watch this!

Speaking of Yahshua Messiah (a.k.a. Jesus the Christ) and the power with which He operated in here’s what the scripture says: “Heb.13: 8.   Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever”.

The Holy Spirit which moved in the early church throughout the book of Acts is also the very same Spirit that’s available to the church today.   The difference is that, today’s church has given into religion and the traditions of men rather than submitting to the leading of the Holy Spirit; thereby making the word of God of no effect and rendering the church powerless.

Don’t take my word for it, just allow the Holy Spirit to show you the condition / status of the Religious Church today and carefully listen to the message that’s being preached.   Despite the fact that scripture verses are being used, many strange doctrines and ideas about the keeping of religious days, ceremonies, foods and prosperity are being taught by Religious Leaders.

KJV:
Heb.13: 9.   Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.

NLT:
Heb.13: 9.   So do not be attracted by strange, new ideas. Your spiritual strength comes from God's special favor, not from ceremonial rules about food, which don't help those who follow them.

Here’s a glimpse of what power in the church looks like!
Acts.20: 7.   And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.

: 8.   And there were many lights in the upper chamber, where they were gathered together.

: 9.   And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus, being fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he sunk down with sleep, and fell down from the third loft, and was taken up dead.

: 10.   And Paul went down, and fell on him, and embracing him said, Trouble not yourselves; for his life is in him.

Is God’s supernatural power available in your church?
