1 dead, another in hospital after 2 shootings in Nassau - Police appeal for information

Nassau, Bahamas - The police are appealing to the public for information to assist in their investigations into two separate shooting incidents that has left a man dead and another detained in hospital.

Reports are that shortly after 7:30pm on Wednesday 25th January 2017, a man was riding his bicycle on Murray Drive, Sunshine Park, when two men armed with handguns approached in a silver Honda vehicle and shot him before speeding off. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene.

In the second incident, shortly before 2:00am on Thursday 26th January 2017, a man was inside a vehicle described as an “Exclusive Party Bus” on West Bay Street near Saunders Beach, when he was approached by a man armed with a handgun who forced him outside and shot him before speeding off in a black vehicle. The victim was transported to hospital where he remains in stable condition.

Investigations are ongoing.
