UPDATED 11pm -- Police are pleased to report that escaped prisoner Jason Jerome Rolle in custody.
Rolle was arrested shortly after
9:30pm
tonight off Farrington Road by officers from the Selective Enforcement Team.
6:00PM -- Police have launched a massive island-wide manhunt for a prisoner convicted for possession of dangerous who escaped from a police transport vehicle on Friday 20th May 2016.
Reports are that shortly before 4:00pm, the prisoner, identified as 21 - year-old Jason Jerome Rolle escaped from a police transport vehicle on Wulff Road near Claridge Road whilst being escorted to The Bahamas Department of Corrections.
Rolle is a dark brown male who frequents the Farrington Road and Marshall Road area.
Police consider Rolle to be armed and dangerous - if he is spotted members of the public are urged not to approach him but instead call police at 919 or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS (8477)OR 1-242-300-8477 (FAMILY ISLANDS)
