Nassau police search for suspects in two Saturday evening shootings

Nassau, Bahamas  - Police are seeking the public’s help in locating the suspects responsible for two separate shooting incidents that has left two males detained in hospital on Saturday 8th July 2017.

In the first incident, shortly after 4:00pm, four males were sitting in a vehicle at the rear of a building on Key West Street, when two males armed with a handgun approached and shot one of them before fleeing on foot. The injured male was taken to hospital where he is detained in serious condition.

In the second incident, shortly after 6:00pm, a man was standing in front of a bar on Dunmore Street, when a man armed with a handgun approached and shot him before fleeing on foot. The victim was taken to hospital, where he remains in stable condition.

POLICE ARE APPEALING TO THE PUBLIC TO SHARE INFORMATION ON ANY ILLEGAL/SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITIES IN THEIR COMMUNITIES, NO MATTER HOW SMALL OR INSIGNIFICANT (THE TIP) MAY SEEM, MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC ARE URGED TO ANONYMOUSLY CONTACT THE POLICE AT 919 OR CRIME STOPPERS AT 328-TIPS (8477) (NEW PROVIDENCE) OR 1-242-300-8476 (FAMILY ISLANDS)
