POLICE LAUNCH MASSIVE ISLAND-WIDE MANHUNT FOR ESCAPE PRISONER
Nassau, Bahamas - Police have launched a massive island-wide manhunt for a prisoner convicted of murder who escaped from a police transport vehicle on Tuesday 2nd February 2016.
Reports are that shortly after 12:00noon, the prisoner, identified as 26 - year-old Ormand Leon escaped from a police transport vehicle in the area of York Street off East Bay Street whilst being escorted to The Bahamas Department of Corrections.
Leon is a dark brown male of a slim built, about 5’ 9” to 5’ 11” who frequents the Moore Avenue, Homestead and Miami Streets area. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and a blue jean pants.
Police consider Leon to be armed and dangerous - if he is spotted members of the public are urge not to approach him but instead call police at 919 or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS (8477) OR 1-242-300-8477 (FAMILY ISLANDS)
