WANTED PERSON – GRAND BAHAMA

Freeport, Grand Bahama - Police in Grand Bahama need your assistance in locating 41 year old Nigel Jamal Forbes aka “Guy Fawkes” of no known address. 

He is wanted by the Central Detective Unit for ATTEMPTED MURDER and is considered to be armed and extremely dangerous. 

He is described as standing at 6’ in height, weighing 169 lbs. with dark brown complexion and is average built. 

If you have any information on the whereabouts of Nigel Jamal Forbes aka “Guy Fawkes”, you are to contact the Central Detective Unit in Grand Bahama at telephone # 350-3107 thru 12, Crime Stoppers at telephone numbers 328-TIPS / Family Island (242) 300-8476, or you may call the Emergency numbers 911/919 or call your nearest police station.

OPERATION NIGHT HAWK IN GRAND BAHAMA YIELDED OUTSTANDING RESULTS AS FOUR INDIVIDUALS WERE ARRESTED FOR OUTSTANDING MATTERS OVERNIGHT.

In keeping with the Commissioners Policing Plan for 2019 primarily priority #1, which focuses on crime hotspots, repeat offenders and with the intent to disrupt organized crime groups involved in drugs, firearms, fraud and other related criminal activities, a team of officers in Grand Bahama were deployed which resulted in the arrest of  (2) individuals for outstanding Warrants of Arrest issued by the Magistrate Court, (1) suspect for possession of ammunition and (1) suspect for possession of dangerous drugs. A number of road checks and fixed penalty notices were issued island wide.

POLICE ARE APPEALING TO ANYONE WITH INFORMATION REGARDING ANY CRIME, NO MATTER HOW SMALL OR INSIGNIFICANT (THE TIP) MAY SEEM, TO ANONYMOUSLY CALL POLICE AT 919 OR CRIME STOPPERS AT 328-TIPS (8477) (NEW PROVIDENCE) OR 1-242-300-8477 (FAMILY ISLANDS) OR THE CENTRAL DETECTIVE UNIT AT 350-3106/12.

  • Look for ways to settle arguments and disagreements without violence. Remember, if you resort to violence to settle dispute, a child may well follow your example. Be a good role model.
  • Use good manners to help ease tensions that can lead to violence. Teach kids that showing respect for themselves and for the needs of others can prevent crime.
