Berry Island man arrested for drug possession

Berry Islands, Bahamas - A 44 – year old man of Bullocks Harbour, Berry Islands is in custody after he was arrested for possession of dangerous drugs on Monday 10th February 2014.

According to reports, shortly after 11:30am Berry Island officers acting on intelligence went to an area referred to as ‘Landing’ at the waterfront in Bullocks Harbour, where they observed the suspect acting suspiciously. The suspect on seeing the officers jumped into water but was captured by the officers. The officers conducted a search of the suspect and found a quantity of marijuana and cocaine in his possession. The suspect was taken into custody and is expected to appear in court later this week to face drug related charges.
