British citizen arrested for drug possession in Harbour Island

Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2017, Police in Harbour Island, Bahamas took a man from London, England into custody following the seizure of a quantity of dangerous drugs found in his possession on Tuesday 4th July 2017.

According to reports, shortly after 1:00am, Officers assigned to the Harbour Island District were on routine patrol on that island, when they saw a man standing near a nightclub who aroused their suspicion. The officers conducted a search of the man and found a quantity of marijuana in his possession. The man was then taken into custody and is expected to appear in court later this week to be formally charged.
