DEU make drug bust off Exuma - Traffic fatality in Andros at Queen's Highway

DEU MAKE DRUG BUST OFF EXUMA, BAHAMAS

According to reports, around 7:30pm on Saturday 1st August 2015, a team of officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit accompanied by officers from the Marine Support Unit were on patrol when they observed a suspicious Boston Whaler boat with five adult male occupants in waters off Black Point, Exuma. The occupants on seeing the officers, threw two bales of marijuana overboard and attempted to speed off. The officers were able to stop the boat and took the five males (all residents of Exuma) into custody.

TRAFFIC FATALITY IN ANDROS

According to reports, shortly after 2:00am on Sunday 2nd August 2015, a traffic accident occurred at Queens Highway, San Andros involving two vehicles that resulted in the death of an adult male.

Investigations are ongoing
