Dangerous drugs arrest in Abaco

Abaco, Bahamas - Police in Abaco discovers suspected marijuana on a Haitian vessel.

Reports are that on Friday 18th July 2014 around 10:45am, Officers of the Marsh Harbour Division conducted a special operation at the Government Dock, Marsh Harbour, Abaco and searched a vessel named “Two Brothers” that traverse between Haiti and Abaco, where they discovered on board nine taped packages of suspected marijuana weighing at 35.2 pounds. Two Haitian nationals were arrested and taken into police custody. The suspected marijuana is estimated to value $35,200.00.

The suspects are expected to be arraigned before the Magistrate Court.
