ELEUTHERA, Bahamas - Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Plan for 2017, an adult female was taken into custody for drug possession during a joint police operation in Eleuthera on Sunday 2nd April 2017.

According to reports, around 2:00pm, officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit during a joint operation with officers assigned to the Eleuthera Division executed a search warrant at a home in Deep Creek, where they found five pounds of marijuana along with just of $6,000:00 dollars in cash believed to be the proceeds of crime. An adult female resident of the home was subsequently taken into custody.
