Exuma drug bust, 1 female arrested

EXUMA, Bahamas - A 39 – year old woman and a 34 – year old man of Rokers Point, Exuma are in custody following a drug seizure that occurred in Exuma on Friday 19th September 2014.

According to reports, shortly after 6:00pm, a team of officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit along with Police Officers in Exuma, acting on intelligence, executed a search warrant at the home of the suspects located at Rokers Point Exuma.

During the search the officers found 14 pounds of marijuana with an estimated street value of $14,000:00. The two suspects were taken into custody are expected to appear in court early next week to be formally charged.

POLICE are appealing to anyone with information regarding any crime, no matter how small or insignificant (the tip) may seem, to anonymously call Police at 919 or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS (8477) (New Providence) or 1-242-300-8476 (Family Islands)
