Exuma police launch island-wide manhunt - San Salvador man in custody for sexual assault

San Salvador Man in Custody for Sexual Assault -  A 41 year old man of Cockburn Town is in custody assisting police with investigations into an alleged Sexual Assault that occurred on San Salvador on Monday 21st April 2014.

 According to reports, around 10:00am, a female victim was at the dock in Cockburn Town where she was allege to have been sexually assaulted by the suspect.

 The police commenced an immediate investigation into the incident that led to the arrest of the suspect two hours later.  

Investigations are ongoing. 

Exuma Police Launch Island-Wide Manhunt for Suspect in Shooting Incident - Police in Exuma, Bahamas has launched an island wide manhunt for 33 – year old Deanardo Smith AKA ‘Fat Boy’ of Hartswell, Exuma who is wanted in connection with a shooting incident that occurred on Tuesday 22nd April 2014.  

According to reports, shortly after 2:00am, a man was about to enter his vehicle following and altercation with the suspect in the George Town area when the suspect armed with a handgun allegedly shot him in the abdomen and fled on foot.  

The victim is presently being detained at the island’s local clinic in stable condition and is expected to be airlifted New Providence sometime this morning.  Investigations are ongoing.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have any information regarding any of these incidents, no matter how small or insignificant (the tip) may seem, to anonymously call Police at 919 or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS (8477) (New Providence) or 1-242-300-8476 (Family Islands)
