Firearm and Ammunition Arrest in Bimini

The Bahamas - Police in Bimini arrest a male after he was found in possession of an illegal firearm and ammunition on Friday 2nd June 2017.

Reports are that shortly after 1:00am, officers while on routine patrol on Kings Highway arrested a male after they discovered on him a .22 Smith and Wesson pistol with (11) rounds of ammunition. The male a 25 year old of Bailey Town, Bimini was taken into police custody and is expected to be arraigned before the Magistrate Court next week.

POLICE ARE APPEALING TO THE PUBLIC TO SHARE INFORMATION ON ANY ILLEGAL/SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITIES IN THEIR COMMUNITIES, NO MATTER HOW SMALL OR INSIGNIFICANT (THE TIP) MAY SEEM, IS URGED TO ANONYMOUSLY CONTACT THE POLICE AT 919 OR CRIME STOPPERS AT 328-TIPS (8477) (NEW PROVIDENCE) OR 1-242-300-8476 (FAMILY ISLANDS)
