RBPF: Firearms and Ammunition Arrest in Abaco

Abaco, Bahamas - Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Plan for 2017, Police in Abaco arrest three males in two separate incidents for possession of illegal firearms and ammunition on Saturday 3rd June 2017.

In the first incident shortly after 2:00am, officers while at a business establishment on Don McKay Blvd, took a male into police custody after he was found in possession of a 9mm pistol with (2) rounds of 9mm ammunition.

In the second incident a short time later, officers also arrested two males in the area of the Government Complex on Don McKay Blvd, after they were stopped in a white truck and recovered a .40 pistol with (8) .40 rounds of ammunition.

All suspects are expected to be arraigned before the Magistrate Court early next week.
