Harbour island man in custody for sexual assault on an American woman

An adult male of Harbour Island, Bahamas is in custody in connection with an alleged sexual assault of an American woman that occurred on Friday 1st July 2016.

The woman a resident of Palm Beach, Florida reported to police on Sunday 3rd July 2016, that a man known to her sexually assaulted her on a beach at Harbour Island on Friday 1st July 2016.

Police immediately commenced an investigation that led to the arrest of the suspect.
