132 Illegal Immigrants Apprehended in Ragged Island, Bahamas

According to reports, shortly after 5:00pm on Sunday 20th April 2014, police in Ragged Island received information that a group of Haitian Nationals was on board a vessel just off the island. Police with the assistance of local fishermen were able to apprehend 132 Haitian immigrants on board a nearby vessel. Immigration and Royal Bahamas Defense Force officials are in route to Ragged Island to assist in transporting the illegal immigrants to New Providence.

This latest group of Haitian Nationals comprises of 25 Females and 107 Males and among the group are 3 teenage boys and 3 male children.
