Illegal immigrants arrested in Bimini

A team of Law Enforcement Officers arrest (16) Illegal Immigrants on the island of Bimini, Bahamas.

Reports are that shortly after 6:00pm on Monday 19th December 2016, Law Enforcement Officers inclusive of Police Officers, Defense Force Officers and Immigration Officers, acting on information went to a business establishment situated on Kings Highway, Alice Town, Bimini and discovered (15) Illegal Immigrants; (8) Chinese and (7) Ecuadorian Nationals. They were all arrested and taken into custody.

Further on Tuesday 20th December 2016 shortly after 12:00am, police arrested a male Columbian National in the area of the North Bimini Dock.

All Immigrants were handed over to the Immigration Authority and investigations are continuing in these matters.
