Illegal immigrants arrested off Bimini

BIMINI, The Bahamas - On Friday 22nd May 2015 shortly after 3:00pm, Officers of the U.S Coast Guard handed over to Law Enforcement Officers inclusive of Police and Immigration Officials, (5) illegal Haitian Immigrants, (3) adult males and (2) adult females and (4) Grand Bahamians. They reported that while on routine patrol on Thursday 21st May 2015, they had intercepted a 17 ft. vessel in the North West area of Bimini with the illegal immigrants on board. They were all taken into custody.

Investigation is continuing.
