ANDROS, Bahamas - Police are reporting a major drug bust in North Andros following a joint operation involving the Drug Enforcement Unit, the Police Marine Support Services and officers from the North Andros District early this morning.
Preliminary reports are that around 3:00am, the joint operation team acting on intelligence conducted a major land and sea operation in North Andros that resulted in the discovery of a number of packages containing a large amount of marijuana on the rear of a truck at Mastic Point.
Two men ages 51 and 45 from Mastic Point were taken into custody. Police are searching for several other men in connection with this seizure. More details relative to this seizure will be provided in a later press release.
