Man Wanted in Exuma surrenders to Police

Exuma, Bahamas - A 42 – year old man wanted for questioning reference to a firearm recovered by police in Exuma, turned himself into police on that Island around 5:30pm on Saturday 23rd May 2015.

According to reports around 4:00am on Saturday 23rd May 2015, Police in Exuma received a report of a disturbance at a nightclub located in Barratarre, Exuma. When police arrived on the scene they saw the suspect walking with a handgun in his hand. The officers attempted to arrest the suspect who resisted violently. A struggle ensued and the suspect dropped the firearm, but was able to escape from the officers. Police retrieved a .357 handgun the suspect threw to the ground.
