One dead in helicopter crash at Bakers Bay Guana Cay, Abaco

ABACO, Bahamas - On Wednesday 21st November 2012, around 1:00pm, police received information that a helicopter had crashed at Bakers Bay Guana Cay, Abaco. Officers responded and it was reported that shortly before 1:00pm, a maroon and white helicopter was attempting to approach the helipad at Bakers Bay, Guana Cay,when it crashed.

Five passengers were on board; one succumbed to injuries at the scene and was transported to the Marsh Harbour Clinic where he was pronounced dead by doctor. The others were transported to New Providence, Doctor’s Hospital and Ryder Trauma Center, U.S.A, respectively for further medical assistance as a result of injuries they received in the crash.

Police are actively investigating this matter.
