Operation Clean Sweep held in Abaco

Abaco, Bahamas - In accordance with the Commissioner’s Policing Plans for 2014, Officers of the Marsh Harbour Police Station, Traffic Division, mounted an operation in the area of S.C Bootle Highway on Wednesday 22nd January 2014 between the hours of 5:30am – 9:00am.

The operation resulted in forty seven (47) fixed penalty’s that were issued to drivers for various traffic infractions, (2) two persons arrested for breach of the Immigration Act and a number of persons searched.

Police in Abaco are appealing to members of the public to adhere to the rules that govern our streets and to drive with care and attention.
