Police Operation in Exuma nets two men for drug possession

Exuma, Bahamas  - Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Priorities for 2015, officers from the Exuma District conducted a police operation on that island on Thursday 7th May 2015 that targeted persons suspected of being in possession of dangerous drugs.

The operation resulted in two persons being arrested for possession of dangerous drugs.

The first arrest occurred shortly after 10:30am, when the operation team acting on intelligence went to Moss Town, where they arrested a 25 - year old man after they found him in possession of a plastic jar containing 34 foils wraps of marijuana.

The second arrest occurred shortly after 3:30pm, when officers from the operation team, acting on intelligence conducted a search of a Ford Ranger truck in George Town, occupied by a 51-year old man and a 49 – year old man. During the search of the truck the officers found a plastic bag containing three (3) ounces of marijuana. The two men were taken into custody for questioning.
