Police investigate traffic fatality in Long Island

Police in Long Island are investigating a traffic accident that has left a man dead on Monday 15th September 2014.

According to reports, around 10:30am, a traffic accident occurred at Queens Highway, Salt Pond, Long Island involving a dump truck and a small pickup truck. The Island’s local doctor pronounced the driver of the pickup truck, who is a resident of Thompson’s Bay, Long Island, dead at the scene. The driver of the dump truck was not injured during this incident.

Officers from the Police Traffic Department in New Providence are assisting officers in Long Island with this investigation.
