“COMMUNITY WALKABOUT – ABACO”

Abaco, Bahamas - Community walkabout resulted in three arrest and unlicensed premises closed.

Reports are that on Wednesday 20th August 2014, between the hours of 9:30am and 12:00noon, a team of Police Officers along with officers from The Royal Bahamas Defence Force, Department of Immigration, Ministry of Works and the Department of Environmental Health Services, conducted a walkabout through the Mudd Community, Poppy Drive, Marsh Harbour, Abaco. This resulted in a number of businesses found in the area without proper business license or permits. Three males of Haitian decent were also taken into custody for breach of the Immigration Act.

“BREACH OF THE FISHERIES ACT – ABACO”

Police arrest a 56 year old male for having in his possession undersized crawfish.

Reports are that on Wednesday 20th August 2014, shortly after 3:00pm, police in Grand Cay, Abaco arrested a 56 year old male resident of Grand Cay who had in his possession undersized crawfish. He is expected to appear before the Magistrate Court in Abaco.
