RBPF Abaco: Four (4) American Citizens arraigned for Breach of The Fisheries Act

Abaco, Bahamas - Four (4) American citizens arraigned in the Magistrate Court for Breach of the Fisheries Act.

Reports are that on Monday 11th August 2014, 47 year old George Fritzgerald, 20 year old Tyler Fritzgerald, 39 year old Cammy Fritzgerald and 39 year old Jennifer Taylor, all United States citizens were arraigned before Deputy Chief Magistrate Helen Jones in Court #2. George Fritzgerald pleaded guilty to assisting in illegal landing; he was given a conditional discharge and was ordered to donate $1,000.00 to the Immigration Department and $1,000.00 to the Grand Cay All Age School. The others pleaded guilty to illegal landing and were given an absolute discharge.

George Fritzgerald was also charged with possession of undersized crawfish, possession of undersized conch and possession of stone crab and filet fish. He was arraigned before Magistrate Debbye Ferguson in Magistrate Court #1. He pleaded guilty to all charges and was fined $3,000.00 on each count or six months at Her Majesty’s Prison.

This is in connection with a matter that was reported on Saturday 9th August 2014 in Grand Cay, Abaco.
