RBPF Abaco: Possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition

Law Enforcement Officers arrest two American citizens after they were found in possession of illegal firearms and ammunition.

Reports are that on Thursday 4th January 2018, shortly before 4:00pm, Police, Customs and Defense Force officers went to a residence in Eastern Shores, Marsh Harbour, Abaco where they discovered (1) .22 pistol that contained (11) .22 ammunition, (591) .22 rounds of ammunition, and (1) air pistol. Two American citizens were arrested and taken into custody.

Investigation into this matter is continuing.

POLICE ARE APPEALING TO THE PUBLIC TO SHARE INFORMATION ON ANY ILLEGAL/SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITIES IN THEIR COMMUNITIES, NO MATTER HOW SMALL OR INSIGNIFICANT (THE TIP) MAY SEEM, MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC ARE URGED TO ANONYMOUSLY CONTACT THE POLICE AT 919 OR CRIME STOPPERS AT 328-TIPS (8477) (NEW PROVIDENCE) OR 1-242-300-8477 (FAMILY ISLANDS)
