RBPF Abaco report alleged drowning of American citizen

Police in Abaco are investigating an alleged drowning incident that has left a 63 year old American citizen dead.

 

Reports are that on Monday 9th June 2014 shortly before 12:00pm, a group of American citizens on board a boat were snorkeling of a reef on Mermaid Beach, Pelican Shores in Marsh Harbour, Abaco when the 63 year old male failed to resurface. He was recovered from under water by another male; CPR was administered with no response. Police and Medical Emergency Personnel responded and he was pronounced dead by doctor from the Marsh Harbour Clinic.

Police are actively investigating this matter.
