3850 lbs of drugs seized in Andros, Bahamas

Andros, Bahamas - The enduring and dedicated work of the men and women of the Royal Bahamas Police Force has led to a large quantity of dangerous drugs being recovered and three adult males taken into custody, Thursday, 25th October, 2018.


Shortly after 3:00pm, Drug Enforcement Officers, assisted by RBPF Marine Support Officers, US Drug Enforcement Agents and US Coast Guard, intercepted a 32 ft. midnight express go fast boat, with three adult males on board in waters off South Andros. Offices conducted a search of the vessel and recovered 84 Crocus bags with suspected marijuana. 

The men were taken into custody and are expected to be formally arraigned before the Magistrate Court next week.

Weight of Drugs: 3,850 lbs.
