Eleutheran in custody for drug possession

Eleuthera, Bahamas - Consistent with the Commissioner’s Policing Plan for 2016, officers from the Eleuthera Division took into custody an adult male after they found a quantity of dangerous drugs in his possession on Thursday 14th April 2016.

Reports are that around 12:00noon, officers from the Eleuthera Division conducted a search of an adult male in Governor’s Harbour where they found a small quantity of marijuana in his possession. The suspect was subsequently taken into custody. The officers then conducted a search of the suspect’s home located in Gregory Town here they uncovered over three (3) pounds of marijuana.

Police are appealing to anyone with information regarding this incident, no matter how small or insignificant (the tip) may seem, to anonymously call Police at 919 or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS (8477) (New Providence) or 1-242-300-8477 (Family Islands)
