Abaco: Armed robbery at local resort -- Drugs found

FOUND DRUGS – ABACO

Abaco, Bahamas - Reports are that on Thursday 4th February 2016 shortly after 11:00am, Officers of the Marsh Harbour Police Station while in the Mudd with other government officials, discovered in an unfinished wooden structure, a plastic bag containing a large amount of grassy substance suspected to be marijuana. No arrest was made in this matter. Police are investigating.

ATTEMPTED ARMED ROBBERY – ABACO

Reports are that on Thursday 4th February 2016 shortly before 11:00pm, a female employee of a business establishment and a male security officer, while at a local resort were accosted by a male brandishing a firearm who demanded cash and discharge his firearm hitting the male security officer in the upper arm. The culprit was unsuccessful and ran from the scene. The male security officer was seen by doctor and is listed in stable condition. Police are actively investigating this matter.

Police are appealing to the general public for anyone with any information that can assist with this investigation to call them at telephone numbers at Marsh Harbour Police Station 367-2560/367-3437, at the Central Detective Unit Office in Grand Bahama at 350-3106 thru 12, 911/919 or contact your nearest police station.
