34 Illegal Immigrants arrested in Abaco, Bahamas

Abaco, Bahamas - Police and Immigration Officials in Abaco arrest thirty four illegal Haitian Immigrants. Reports are that on Sunday 6th July 2014 shortly after 12:00 mid-day, police along with Immigration Officials in Abaco received information that a white sail boat vessel was seen in the area of Browns Bay, Dundas Town with suspected Haitians immigrants on board. Officers responded and were able to take into custody fifteen males, eighteen females and one female child. Medical assistance were rendered by EMS personnel and the local doctor.

Arrangements are being made to have all persons transported to New Providence.

Investigations are ongoing in this matter.
