Long island male perishes in house fire

Long Island, Bahamas - Police on Long Island are investigation the circumstance surrounding a house fire in which a man perished, on Wednesday, 18th January, 2018. 

Shortly after 11:00pm, police were called to the scene of a house fire at Salt Pond, Long Island. With the assistance of residence, officers were able to extinguish the fire. A search was conducted of the interior of the burnt structure and the lifeless body of a male, which was burnt beyond recognition, was discovered. 

An autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death. 

Officers from the RBPF Fire Service will fly to Long Island to assist in this investigation.
