RBPF: Police investigates fatal accident on Exuma

Exuma, Bahamas - Police are investigation an accident on the Island of Exuma, that has left a juvenile male dead on Thursday, 28th December, 2017. 

Reports are that shortly after 11:00am, a male was assisting with hoisting a sail boat from the waters at the Government Dock in George Town, when the crane that was being used, snapped from the truck it was attached to, hitting the male and pinning him to the boat, which became submerged in the water. The victim was rescued from the water and taken to the local clinic where he was pronounced dead. Another male was examined at the local clinic and was later airlifted to New Providence for further medical treatment. 

Investigations are ongoing.

FIREARMS LICENSING OFFICE NEW OPERATING HOURS

 The Royal Bahamas Police Force wishes to notify members of the public that its Firearms Licensing Office on University Boulevard will be open to customers from Monday to Friday between the hours of 9am - 4pm and on Saturdays from 10:00am – 2:00pm until further notice. The office will be closed on Sundays and Holidays.  

Firearm License Holders, who have not already done so, are asked to visit the office on University Boulevard to renew their license. 

All Firearms Licenses expires as of 31st December, 2017. After this date, a late fee will be charged at the time of renewal.
