Police are investigating a fire which destroyed part of the
All Age School on Rum Cay, Saturday, 1st September, 2018.
According
to reports, shortly after 4:000pm, police were alerted to a fire at the
school in the settlement of Port Nelson. Officers, assisted by members
of the community, were able to extinguish the fire, which was reportedly
contained to the kitchen area, causing extensive damage.
Fire Service Investigators from New Providence are preparing to travel to that island to investigate the cause of the fire.
Investigations are ongoing.
