RBPF Sudden Death - Bimini, Bahamas

Police in Bimini are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 32 year old American male on Friday 13th May 2016.

Reports are that shortly after 4:00pm police received information and went to an area some ten miles of Cat Cay, where the body of an American male who was a part of the crew on board a 25 ft. fishing vessel reportedly drown while diving. The body was taken into Bimini, seen by doctor and pronounced dead.

Police are actively investigating this matter.

Police are also urging anyone who may have any information regarding any crime, no matter how small or insignificant (the tip) may seem, to anonymously call Police at 919 or CRIME STOPPERS at 328-TIPS (8477) or 1-242-300-8477 (FAMILY ISLANDS)

WEEKLY CRIME PREVENTION TIP – If you witness a crime.

If you see or suspect a crime is being committed, pay particular attention to the features of the offender(s) and any vehicles involved. Try to be prepared to provide at least the following about the offenders:

1. Age, color, height and weight;
2. Hair color and style, beard and mustache;
3. Notable characteristics (acne, scars, glasses, mental state, etc.) 4. Clothing description;
5. Location where last seen;
6. Last known direction of travel;
7. Vehicle description and distinctive markings.
Witnesses who wish to remain anonymous may do so. It is more important that a response be dispatch as quickly as possible.
