RBPF: Suspect pleads guilty to 7 counts of shopbreaking in Abaco

Abaco, Bahamas - Chris Tyrone Ferguson age 31 years of the Mudd, Abaco, was arraigned on Monday 4th September 2017 before Magistrate Ancella Evans at the Magistrate Court in Abaco. He was arraigned on (7) counts of Shopbreaking, (7) counts of Stealing from a Shop and (1) count of Stealing from a Vehicle. He pleaded guilty to all the offences and was sentenced to three years for each count of Shopbreaking, (9) months on each count of Stealing from a shop and (6) months for Stealing from a Vehicle. All to be served concurrently.

Police are appealing to the public to share information on any illegal/suspicious activities in their communities, no matter how small or insignificant (the tip) may seem, members of the public are urged to anonymously contact the police at 919 or crime stoppers at 328-tips (8477) (New Providence) or 1-242-300-8476 (Family Islands)
