Shark Attack in Exuma, Bahamas - Skeletal Remains Found in Cat Island - Acklins police make firearms arrest

Acklins Police Make Firearm Arrest - A 39 year old man of Chester’s Acklins, Bahamas is in police custody being found in possession of a handgun and ammunition. Police at Acklins arrested the man around 1:58 am on Sunday 29thJuly, 2013 after conducting a search of the suspects’ white 2003 Ford Ranger truck where they discovered the items. Active police investigations continue.

Shark Attack in Exuma, Bahamas - A 64 year old man of Fort Lauderdale, Florida is recuperating after being bitten to the left hand by a Nurse shark.The incident reportedly occurred around 4:25pm on Sunday 28th July, 2013 atCompass Cay, Exuma. According to reports the victim was cleaning fish in an area known for Nurse Sharkswhen the incident occurred.He was taken to the local clinic and later airlifted to the capital where his injuries are described as non life threatening. Active police investigations continue.

Skeletal Remains Discovered in Cat Island - Police at Cat Island, Bahamas discovered a skull along with skeletal remains at Long Boat Keys on Saturday 27thJuly, 2013. According to reports around 4:27 pm police on the island were notified of the discovery. Active police investigations continue.
