Shooting incident in Grand Cay, Bahamas

GRAND CAY, The Bahamas - Police are investigating a shooting incident that has left an 18 year old male with injuries to his legs. 

Reports are that on Friday 14th February 2014 at 11:00pm, police received information that a group of men were involved in a fight in the area of a bar on Grand Cay. One male reportedly retrieved a licensed shot gun and discharged the weapon causing injuries to both legs of an eighteen year old male of Grand Cay. A twenty three year old male also of Grand Cay was reportedly beaten about the body during the same altercation.

 Both men were taken to the Grand Cay Clinic for medical attention and will be airlifted to Grand Bahama for further medical attention. The injuries are reportedly not life threatening.  

The licensed shotgun was retrieved; police are actively investigating this matter.
