1 man dead as Nassau police seek suspects in 2 shootings

Nassau, Bahamas - Police are seeking the public’s help in locating the persons responsible for two separate shooting incidents that have left a man dead and another detained in hospital.

In the first incident shortly after 11:00pm last night (Sunday 23rd October 2016), a man was walking through Peter  Street  off  East  Street  when  he  was  shot.  The  man  was  transported  to  hospital  where  he  remains  in critical condition.

In  the  second  incident  shortly  after  1:00am  this  morning (Monday  24th October  2016),  police  received  a report of gunshots being heard in the area of Polhemus Street off Nassau Street. When police arrived on the scene they met the lifeless body of a male through a track between Polhemus and Dean Streets, who had been shot. The male was pronounced dead on the scene.

Investigations are ongoing.
